Really good but a lot of work

The module is really well organised and well run. You have a participation mark which is 10%, and then the rest of the marks are spread out around your presentation, moderating a Q&A session, and submitting questions and ranking the discussion panel questions. You don't know the papers you're allocated until 3 weeks before, so everyone has the same amount of time to prepare, but for that time it is a lot of work.
But overall it was a really good module, and means one less exam at the end of the year.

What’s the presentation like? How long is it expected to be and can you do it in a group?

The presentation is 10 minutes per person in groups of 4-5 which you chose yourself (can be allocated if you don't know anyone on the module). The way it worked this year is that everyone works on the presentation and then 24 hours before its due you get allocated one of the sections (intro, results 1/2/3, discussion) - to make sure everyone knows the whole thing and not just one section. Sounds stressful, but the allocation wasn't really all that bad, and does mean you understand the topic better.

The Moodle page says there is an essay as part of the assessment. Is this a normal essay or a review article like other group B modules require?

This year there wasn't an essay with this module - not sure what it will be like next year. Though for Molecular Immunology (a different group B module in set 2) there was an essay (a 1000 Nature news style article on COVID-19).

Did you do x2 Group B (seminar) modules in the second semester? If not, how did you find the balance of exam and coursework?
Theres only one seminar module thats really caught my interest so im worried what revising for x4 exams will be like?
Thanks
