Genetic systems

Really enjoyed this unit – lectures are really good and easy to understand. Seminar isn’t too bad. We got to pick our teams and our topic from our list and Hurst is a pretty generous marker (he doesn’t even mark answers to questions after the seminar which other people have found a problem in other units). For all it says you need A level maths you don’t ever need to answer a maths question to get any marks, even in the exam. If you can do the maths, it might help you get a higher mark (ie. 100% rather than 85%) but again, he’s a generous marker. The non-maths questions are fairly easy and they use the same ones every year. Overall, interesting content and very easy to get good marks.
