Conservation Empty Conservation

This is a really interesting module particularly if you are planning a career involving conservation. Chris Hatcher who runs the module is a really great lecturer and puts a lot of effort into producing his lectures and making sure they are up to date which makes the course more exciting. There is quite a lot of detail with regards to conservation frameworks, assessment and the actual processes involved in conservation so do not approach this module thinking that it will involve looking at lots of cute fluffy animals on the endangered list. The structure of the module is good and the group presentation is essentially a funding pitch for a conservation project, so it allows you to look in lots of detail at a subject of particular interest to you and gives scope for creativity. The presentation is only 10 minutes between 4 of you which is helpful if you are not particularly comfortable with public speaking.
