A tough decision. The lectures by PHE staff are great (we had the guy who was in charge of response to Zika and coronavirus) and content interesting. On the other hand, the odd split of extra reading and lecture content makes this a very time-consuming unit in the way regular units and pathogenesis in semester 1 are not. Pathogenesis also does not provide much help, except maybe in motivating yourself to research. If you’re on the fence I’d say pick the other thing but that said, it’s a pretty interesting unit, if a lot of hard work.
