Lab based project

I really enjoyed the lab based project, even though I didn’t enjoy labs in my first and second year. I had a lot of project flexibility which was so good! You do have to stay on top of things - I was in the lab 3-4 times a week (sometimes 6 hours with incubation times) so I’d recommend you pick two lecture/100% exam based modules alongside the project, rather than coursework based/seminar modules. Because the submission is due 2 weeks before exam period starts, you have enough time to focus on two exams. In my second semester, I did two seminar modules which took up most of my time, so I couldn’t imagine having a project and seminar modules together!
I also recommend brushing up on your stats and excel skills for the project - it’s really important when coming to the analysis and write-up, and that actually took longer than the literature search for me!

Which final year project did you take? A, C or D?
